Photos from Haninge Began Eleven Years Ago, on April 1, 2006

That old tree!  How many of us eagerly await the next photo of this Swedish Whitebeam?  It is a very old tree in a rural area in east central Sweden.  Steffe, the photographer who began Photos from Haninge on April 1, 2006, showed his 500th image of that old tree on February 15 of this year.

Steffe lives in Tungelsta, a subdivision of the city of Haninge, Sweden.  Steffe visits a favorite coffee shop and shows us the people who pass though.  He rides his bicycle around the city and countryside, photographing events, scenes, people and buildings, always with sharp focus and an artistic eye.  Thanks, Steffe, for introducing us to your community over the last eleven years.  We await more.

  4. Thank you. I'm eagerly waiting for the tree to turn green again. It is a Swedish Whitebeam, although when I first took a photo of it all those years ago I figured it must be an oak. And I have to admit to not realising that I had been doing this for eleven years. Time flies and all that!

Actually, it will probably be first on Facebook, or Twitter, or maybe you'll hear about it from the nice old guy next door. Whatever the case, if you have news to share, how about sharing it with us, so we can share it with everyone and actually make these pages useful?
