A different kind of recognition today. Today is the first day of the retirement of jennyfreckles (the nom de photograph of Andreé Freeman) after a career in HR, leadership training and administrative work with a variety of public sector organizations. Now she will have the time and freedom to pursue even more her passion of exploring the cities, towns, villages and fields of West Yorkshire with her camera.
Since 2008 Andreé has shown us daily loving photographs of her adopted hometown of Saltaire in the UK. We have learned that Saltaire is a Victorian-era model industrial village and a UNESCO World Heritage Site four miles north of Bradford and just a few more miles south of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Profoundly deaf, Andreé communicates clear as a bell with her breathtaking images at her blog Salt & Light (formerly Saltaire Daily Photo). If you have not yet had the pleasure of finding her blog, go take a look. It is well worth it. Enjoy your retirement years, jennyfreckles.
