For Harry, England, and St George - 23 April



On Tuesday 23rd April, we here on City Daily Photo, celebrate our third National Day for 2013: England's 'St George's Day'.

Rob Sieman of Barcelona DP, dropped a note onto FB to say that it is also a very important holiday in Catalunya, Spain, where Georges is called Sant Jordi in Catalan, or San Jorge in Spanish. Georges is also the patron saint of Timbuktu, strangely enough. A right universal saint!

So, no matter where in the world you live, if you are influenced by either the English, Catalan, or Spanish cultural icon of ST George, you are most welcome to join in ... [Continued] ...
